Learn Ableton Live
Thursdays at 1:00-2:30 pm
January 4, 11, 18, 25
If you've been making music in the last few years, you've likely heard about Ableton Live. It's a well designed, unique piece of software that is supported by a strong community and offers enormous creative potential. And some would argue that it's the most powerful piece of software available for manipulating audio rapidly. It's quite popular for many reasons!
If you make music but just haven't gotten around to learning this industry standard software, now is your chance.
You will learn by doing in this event. Each of the 4 classes explores a different way of using Live by completing a small project.
Anyone is welcome to join us, but to get the most out of the class you should have a laptop with Ableton Live 9 Standard or Suite so you can follow along and participate.
We will cover the software layout and interface as it's a little different than other DAWs, but you should be familiar with the basic concepts common to all DAWs like a timeline, staple effects (EQ, Compression, etc).
About the instructor:
Emilio Guarino has over a decade of experience as a professional musician, made the switch to Ableton Live 4 years ago and never looked back.
